ReCAST Baton Rouge

The Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCAST) Grant Program is a federal grant program designed to assist high-risk youth and families who live in communities that have experienced trauma due to civil unrest or other community adversities. The mission of ReCAST is to use trauma-informed approaches to promote healing and resiliency among community members in the aftermath civil unrest and traumatic events that surfaced in Baton Rouge during the summer of 2016.

 

Since 2018, AKCCL has been apart of the ReCAST Baton Rouge Community Initiative. AKCCL has been name one of ReCAST most impactful service provides serving youth ages 4 - 24, homeless individuals, and disadvantage families.

 

Thanks to ReCAST Baton Rouge, AKCCL has been able to serve over 600 students since 2018, and has recently been awarded another grants for the 2020-21 grant cycle. Learn more by visiting https://recast.communityplatform.us/.
